Donald Prater
Southeast Regional Director
Dr. Donald V. Prater was born and raised in Piedmont, AL and matriculated through the Piedmont City School System.
Donald attended The Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (1990). As a student at ASU, Donald was campus leader, serving as President of SOS Leaders, a member of the political science club, and pledged Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Gama Beta Chapter. After graduating from ASU, Donald earned his master’s degree from Clark Atlanta University in Counseling and Human Development. He also holds an education leadership certification from Georgia State University. Additionally, Donald holds two post graduate degrees-Education Specialist and Doctor of Education-in education leadership from Argosy University Atlanta.
Dr. Prater is a member of New Hope Christian Ministry. During his past time, he enjoys running in 5Ks, walking nature trails, volunteering/giving back to the community, and supporting his beloved alma mater (ASU). As proud father of Kaden C. Prater, who is a junior and honor student at Carver Early College (dual enrolled student Georgia State University), Dr. Prater believes that his son is the greatest gift from God. He resides in Decatur, GA with his son.
